Digital Business Wallet — Company Card and UBO Registry
Context
The Digital Business Wallet is a gov.pt app feature that centralises secure access to official documents for legal representatives. The first phase delivered the Electronic Company Card and the Central Register of Beneficial Owners (UBO), among other documents. The initiative positions Portugal at the forefront of business-state digitalisation, aligned with the future European Business Wallet.
My role
- Translating business objectives into concrete deliverables, ensuring prioritisation and stakeholder alignment
- Coordinating interoperability across systems, controlling business rules, consistency and traceability
- Leading the IRN working group with risk-driven decisions and dependency unblocking
- Institutional interface with ARTE, ensuring operational alignment and compliance with security and power-based access principles
Results
- Digital business and UBO verification delivered on the gov.pt app, reducing friction and administrative repetition
- Trust model strengthened through recognised representation powers updated via SCAP
- Foundation for phased evolution — permanent certificate, electronic signature, notifications — following a digital-by-default approach
